Troubleshooting

Nothing happens when I play. Check the pad is assigned and that Padjam's window is visible: a hidden window draws nothing. For MIDI, check the header says your device, and Options → MIDI input and Active channels.

No sound from clips. Click anywhere in Padjam once: browsers keep sound off until you interact with the page.

A pad says missing. The browser cleared its copy of the clip. Click the pad to restore it from the original, or drop the file again. Export bundles to stay safe.

It stutters. Many large clips at once are hard work: sixteen 4K and HD clips together hold about 60 frames a second on a recent Mac. Smaller clips (1080p or less) leave the most room. The Session report shows how a set performed.

A sketch shows nothing. Effect sketches need Reads the frame buffer on and a higher priority than the notes under them. Errors show in the header.

Safari, Firefox, iPad. Padjam needs Chrome or Edge on a computer. Safari and every iPad browser lack Web MIDI and folder access, so controllers, bundles and recording folders don't work there. An iPad can mirror to a projector, but can't put Padjam's output on its own screen.
